MaxScape is a 2004-era RuneScape private server built on 2004Scape that keeps the original quests, skills and combat while adding a companion collection layer on top. Companions drop from monsters and bosses across the world, come in five rarity variants, and fight alongside the player as a team. The server adds custom bosses, world events, NPC professions and a player trading post, and it tracks progress on two separate hiscores systems.

MaxScape expands the classic 2004Scape experience rather than replacing it, so the original skills and quests remain the core of an account.

Monster Companions: Companions drop in Normal, Shiny, Golden, Corrupted and Mythic variants and can be leveled, fused and prestiged.
Companion Trials: Staged combat challenges test a whole companion team, with trial damage based on power level.
Superior Bosses: New and superior bosses are added, including bosses in the Wilderness.
World Events: Dynamic world events such as Monster Swarms and Bloody Key events run across the map.
NPC Professions: Professions offer 100 progressive monster-hunting assignments.
Trading Post: A player trading post works as an in-game marketplace.
Two Hiscores: One hiscores tracks skills and another tracks server statistics such as boss kills, companions, wealth, playtime, quests and clues.
Quality of Life: Vote rewards, automatic clue completion, OSRS-style XP drops and Ring of Wealth coin collection are included.
