Server Overview

Zipangu is a MapleStory server built for the post Big Bang era rather than the pre Big Bang v62 window that almost every other nostalgia server targets. Its argument is that the update which brought Luminous, Mercedes, Phantom, Cannoneer and Demon Slayer was its own golden age, and that nobody had built a low rate home for it. The server runs a custom, heavily hardened v117 codebase that the team says is not a copy paste of public sources, and it is currently in active open beta with hundreds of stability and content fixes already shipped. Rates are deliberately low and there is no cash shop power at all, so the early economy is open and the grind is the point rather than an obstacle to skip.

Elite Boss And Rune Endgame: Endgame is built around Elite Bosses and the Rune System rather than around cash shop scaling.
No Pay To Win: There are no cubes and no potential scrolls, and nothing sold in any shop grants a gameplay advantage.
Working Cash Shop Systems: Pets, storage and quality of life interfaces all function, they just do not sell power.
Party Fill Companions: An optional built in companion system fills party slots so a fresh server population is not blocked from Party Quests, offered as a server feature rather than third party botting.
Restored Quest Chains: Quests and NPC chains have been restored and tested rather than left broken from the source.
Dedicated Hardware And Backups: The server runs on dedicated hardware with daily automated backups of character and item data.
