InfinityMU has been running since 2008, which puts it among the longest lived MU Online private servers still operating. That longevity is also the product, because the server's central promise is that nothing gets wiped: no resets of the world, no rollbacks, and characters and items that are still there if a player returns after several years away. On a game whose private server scene is built on seasonal wipes and fresh starts, a permanent character is the differentiator.

The build is Season 3 Episode 1, deliberately held at the classic content set rather than chased forward through the later seasons. The rates are the other end of the spectrum from the content choice: experience runs at x9999, drop is at 100 percent and Chaos Machine success is at 100 percent, so the grind that normally defines MU is compressed into the early hours and the game becomes a PvP contest almost immediately. Stats cap at 32,767.

The client has been modernised even though the content has not. It renders at 1920x1080 in HD with a smooth frame rate and supports multiple clients on one machine, which matters on a server where running a second character for support is normal practice.
