ShadowMU is a Season 4 Episode 6 classic MU Online server built around the reset ladder rather than around a fixed level cap, and it runs two worlds with different social rules so the same content can be played two ways. The first world is the high-rate open-PK side where the rate is set as high as the season allows and the entire loop is reset, gear, repeat. The second world is a non-PK build at a lower rate, aimed at players who want the same season without open-world player killing, and it lifts VIP accounts to the high rate. What holds both together is that resets are non-destructive: stats, skills and items all survive a reset, so the ladder is additive instead of asking players to rebuild a character from nothing each cycle.

Non-destructive resets: Stats, skills and items are all retained through a reset, and stay-on-spot means the character is not thrown back to town.
Reset commands: Resets run from in-game commands including an automatic mode, so the ladder does not require a website round trip.
Grand Reset ladder: Fifty regular resets convert into one Grand Reset, which pays 5,000 gold.
Stacking health bonus: Each reset adds 400 HP to the character, up to a ceiling of 100,000.
Non-PK alternative world: The second world removes open-world player killing entirely rather than gating it behind a flag.
Boss rotation: Kundun, Skeleton King and Chaos Castle run on the daily event schedule.
New player package: Starting accounts receive free equipment so the first reset does not require a cold start.
