Interlude PW is a Perfect World private server running client version 1.8.7 on the G18 base, with its own expansion content layered on top rather than a straight recreation of a retail patch. The project sits between classic Perfect World and something newer. The class roster, the world map and the levelling flow are all familiar, but the level 100 and beyond content has been rewritten around the server's own Eastern Continent expansion, which is where most of the team's original work lives. The team publishes a development roadmap in advance and states plainly that the project is not affiliated with Perfect World Entertainment and runs as an independent emulator. Monetisation is advertised as free of pay-to-win mechanics. The current release opened on 31 July 2026 and version 1.9.0 is already announced as the next step, so the feature list below is a snapshot of a moving target rather than a finished build.

Bloodspirit class: A custom class fighting with dual scythes and a life-force resource, added on top of the standard Perfect World roster.
PvP arena: A dedicated arena sits alongside the open world PvP the base game ships with.
New locations: The expansion adds map areas that do not exist in the retail client.
No pay-to-win: The team advertises the cash shop as carrying no pay-to-win mechanics.
Public roadmap: Development milestones including the closed beta and the official release are published on the site in advance.
