Emberhold is a semi custom RuneScape private server, which means the Old School skeleton is kept intact and extra content is layered on top rather than replacing it. Combat, skills and the core progression read as OSRS, and the additions sit at the edges as extra bosses, extra gear tiers and extra wilderness content. The server ships a fully integrated RuneLite client with Plugin Hub support, so players keep the plugins they already use, including 117HD and the GPU renderer. Boss content is the main draw here: the roster runs past sixty encounters, and the three OSRS raids are implemented one to one with quality of life adjustments to scaling rather than rebuilt from scratch. Updates land daily rather than on a monthly patch cycle.
