Server Overview
Warscape is an old school RuneScape private server whose content roadmap is driven by what its own players ask for, and the team describes the project as community driven and player suggested. Its headline addition is Taming, a skill that is not in the base game at all, where creatures you capture become companions that fight alongside you. The boss list runs past the familiar names into encounters written for this server, and a second tier of skilling bosses drops gear that improves non-combat skills rather than combat gear. Quests, achievements and exclusive items fill in the space between the boss trips, and daily events give solo players a reason to log in on a weekday.
Revision & Era
Warscape is built on the old school RuneScape era rather than a pre-EoC or high revision base. The team does not publish a client revision number on its site, so none is stated here.
Era: Old School RuneScape
Features
Taming: A custom skill where you tame creatures to fight at your side, with snakes, wolves, phoenixes and dragons among the species.
Custom bosses: Infernal Hydra, Night Terror and The Abomination are server-written encounters rather than ports of existing ones.
Skilling bosses: A separate tier of bosses including Hespori drops gear that is useful for skilling rather than combat.
Daily Vote Boss: Voting for the server unlocks a daily boss event.
Quests and achievements: The server ships its own quests and an achievement track alongside the boss content.
Exclusive items: Items that exist only on Warscape are handed out through that content rather than sold outright.
Elite end-game: A tier of elite challenges sits above the standard boss rotation for players who have finished it.
Donator ranks: The store carries donator ranks with their own listed benefits.
Community driven: Content is developed from player suggestions, which the team states as its development model.
