GodClassic is a pre-renewal Ragnarok Online server from the GOD MMORPG team, the same group behind the GOD Ragnarok servers whose name stands for "Good Old Days". It is built on what the team calls the spirit of classic Ragnarok, simple, fair and full of meaningful journeys, and it aims to recreate the Ragnarok experience players remember from 2006. The project runs at official x1 rates with no Item Mall, no VIP and a single-login rule, so progress comes from playing rather than from paying or multi-clienting. Before opening, the server ran a pre-registration campaign with community milestone rewards unlocking at 100, 250, 500, 750 and 1000 sign-ups.

The server starts from the early classic episode and keeps pre-renewal mechanics throughout.

No Item Mall: The server sells no gameplay items, and its toplist listing states that cosmetic costumes are the only exception.
No VIP and No Pay-to-Win: There is no VIP subscription, so every player progresses under the same rules.
Single Login: Each player is limited to one game client at a time.
Equipment Inspection: Players can inspect other players' equipment directly as part of the server's transparency rules.
Public Admin Log: The commands executed by administrators are visible to players.
Rare Drop Records: Rare item drops are published together with who obtained them and when.
Content Variety: The team lists instances, daily activities, quests and dungeons as the content meant to give players reasons to return.
Max Enchant: The toplist listing sets the maximum enchant level at +10.
