PW Ascension is a classic-era Perfect World server built on the 1.3.6 to 1.7.4 client range, before the expansions that pushed the level cap past 100 and added the later class set. It runs the three original factions, Humans, Untamed and Winged Elves, and holds the level ceiling at 100. The rate spread is the interesting part of the configuration. Experience is only 3x, but spirit runs at 10x, so levelling stays slow enough to mean something while skill development stops being the bottleneck it was in the retail game. Around that sits a set of quality-of-life changes that pull the old client forward without changing what it is, and a monetisation model the team states plainly, with no overpowered endgame items sold directly and battle pass progression that cannot be purchased.

Mounts in dungeons: Mounts work inside dungeons, removing a long-standing walking tax on every run.
Meditation grants Chi: Meditating builds Chi, so downtime feeds back into combat readiness instead of being dead time.
Battle Pass: A battle pass runs free and VIP tracks, with progression that cannot be bought outright.
