Confictura is a roleplaying shard set in Sosaria shortly after the events of Ultima III: Exodus, which places it earlier in the Ultima timeline than the standard UO setting and gives it room to diverge from the familiar Britannia map. The shard states plainly that it has no donation rewards and no donation link at all, so there is nothing to buy and nothing separating a paying player from anyone else. Character creation is unusually wide: thirty three categories of non human playable races are available, each with its own bonuses and drawbacks, sitting against a standard 1000 point skill cap with alternate starting options. The economy has been altered to make playstyles viable that the retail UO economy never rewarded, and the spell list has been modified and extended with new variations of magic.
