Origin Aion is the rebuild of Elden Aion, run by a veteran Aion team active since 2010 and shipping server projects since 2017. The 4.6 patch was chosen deliberately: it is the last expansion before the systemic changes in 5.0, with Tiamat's Stronghold and the upgraded Abyss systems delivering the largest pre-5.0 content set while preserving the classic Aion PvP feel. The server is self-funded, with no monetized shop, and positioned for the long-term. Cosmic fragments are earned through gameplay only, not paid for.

Reason for the version: Tiamat's Stronghold and the upgraded Abyss deliver the largest pre-5.0 content set, with PvP balance closest to the classic feel before the 5.0 reworks.
