Silkroad Online is a Korean MMORPG built on the historical trade route between China and Europe, where the Trader, Hunter and Thief job triangle turns every caravan run into an open player-versus-player event. Old Silkroad rebuilds the cap 80 era of that game, the version most long-time players point to when they say they want the original experience back rather than a modern high-cap build. The project runs the Chinese race only, holds rates at 1x, and deliberately limits edits to the client and the skill trees, so levelling, skill point income and gear progression all move at the pace the game was originally tuned for. Its current chapter opened a public beta on 21 August 2026 and holds its grand opening on 4 September 2026, with silk earned during the beta carried across to the live server.

Cap 80 ruleset: The level ceiling stops at 80, which keeps skill builds compact and puts endgame gear inside reach of a normal play schedule.
Chinese race only: The European race is not enabled, so every character draws from the Chinese mastery trees.
Staged launch: A public beta ran from 21 August 2026 ahead of the 4 September 2026 grand opening.
Beta silk carry-over: Silk earned during the beta period transfers to the account on the live server.
Minimal edits: The team advertises the build as real old school rather than layering custom systems on top of the original client.
