Beyond Sosaria is a PvM only Ultima Online shard that removes player versus player combat entirely rather than fencing it into a ruleset. The shard states a zero tolerance policy for PvP, griefing, harassment and bullying, which makes it one of the few Ultima worlds where the only danger is the monsters. Progression is front loaded so that a new character is not stuck grinding skills before it can join a group, and the long game sits in custom bosses, deep crafting and collection rather than in gear pressure from other players. The shard invites players to "Seek ye the Path of Avatar in our PvM Sanctuary", and its content calendar is built around cooperative encounters that need strategy and teamwork.

The shard runs on the ServUO emulator with the original map, in English, as a fully PvE world with a heavy custom layer on top.

Instanced champion spawns: Champion spawns are instanced, so one group is never fighting another group over the same spawn.
Daily tasks: A daily task list gives returning players something scoped to a single session.
Weekly PvM leaderboard: The shard runs a weekly leaderboard that ranks players on monster hunting.
Treasure hunting: Treasure hunting is supported as its own content track rather than as a side effect of looting.
Master crafting and runecrafting: Crafting is deepened with a master crafting system and a separate runecrafting line.
