Immortal Realms is an Ultima Online free shard running the Time of Legends expansion with a large layer of custom content on top of it. Its own listing sums the shard up as friendly to PvM players, tamers and crafters, with player versus player combat confined to Felucca so the rest of the world stays safe for the people who came to build and tame rather than fight. The custom work is concentrated in three named systems, Evos, Mercenaries and Squires, alongside achievement and player level tracking, pet levelling and town houses. Skills are uncapped in the sense that every skill can be pushed to 180 through Power Scrolls, and the shard states that skills and stats gain quickly so a new character is playable rather than serving a long apprenticeship.

Immortal Realms runs on the Time of Legends expansion content set and adds its own systems around it rather than freezing at a classic era. Player versus player combat is Felucca-only, which makes the ruleset closer to a PvE shard with an optional PvP facet than to an open-world PK shard. Evolution mechanics extend across dragons, daemons, mounts, weapons and armour, so the progression track for a tamer and the progression track for a warrior both run through the same custom system.

Evolution Systems: Dragons, daemons, mounts, weapons and armour all evolve through the shard's own evo mechanics, which is the central custom progression track rather than a side feature.

Mercenaries and Squires: Hired mercenaries and squires give solo players a companion option, which is what makes a tamer-and-crafter-friendly shard workable at a smaller population.

Achievement and Player Level Systems: The shard tracks player levels and achievements on top of the standard skill system, giving a second progression axis beyond skill gain.

Pet Levelling and Animal Breeding: Pets level up and animals can be bred, which extends the tamer track well past what the base game offers.

Town Houses: Town housing is available alongside the standard housing system.

Custom Content Library: The shard adds its own armours, weapons, monsters, resources, pets and quests, plus a custom crafting layer.

Fast Early Progression: Skills and stats are tuned to gain quickly, with level requirements gating when a character can wear the full set of items.
