MapleLegends is the longest-running old-school MapleStory private server still operating, live continuously since April 1, 2015. Development started in August 2014 with one goal: reproduce GMS 2008 as precisely as possible, then add quality-of-life changes without rewriting what made the era work. It is the reference point the rest of the v62 scene is measured against, and it holds a daily peak near 3,200 members online in a Discord of 14,000.

Zero Pay-to-Win: No cubes and no stat-bearing cash items. The server advertises "absolutely ZERO Pay to Win" and keeps the cash shop cosmetic.
Washing Actually Optional: HP washing is available but never required to clear content, a claim the server puts in its own listing title.
No Vote-to-Win: Voting rewards nothing that affects progression, so nobody is out-geared by a browser tab.
Windows, Mac and Linux: A first-party client for all three, not a Wine workaround.
Job Balancing: Custom skill tweaks across every class, aimed at making the weak 2008 jobs playable rather than reinventing them.
Party Quests: The full pre-Big Bang PQ ladder is implemented and populated, not just present.
