BADRO is a Portuguese-language Ragnarok Online private server built around third class gameplay that has been adapted to carry fourth class content, rather than running a straight third class or fourth class client. The team describes the project as non-profit and built around gameplay-earned progression, and backs that up structurally: equipment cannot be purchased outright, so combat advantages come from playing rather than paying. The server ships a large amount of custom content on top of the base game, including over 1,300 adapted equipment pieces, more than 370 new monsters and over 200 repopulated maps, which is a heavier custom content pass than most third-class RO private servers run.

BADRO runs third class Ragnarok Online content that has been adapted to include fourth class systems, rather than migrating to a full Renewal or fourth class client. The server pairs that with a multi-rate structure that scales from 1x up to 100x depending on rate settings, alongside separate, higher item and card rates.
