Instead of the ageing executable most Rappelz servers still ship, EternalRealms runs a 64-bit DirectX 11 build, which the team credits for the improved graphics and the frame rate stability the original client never had. The rest of the work is quality of life, and the change list the team advertises is dominated by systems that remove friction rather than systems that add grind. Rappelz's creature taming and summoning systems are left intact underneath. What changes is how much of a session a player spends fighting the interface instead of playing the game.
