Tagline: Hard classic, international, PC and mobile

Metin2 is a free-to-play action MMORPG built around fast melee combat, three warring kingdoms, and the destruction of Metin stones. Mt2009 positions itself as a hard classic oldschool project that returns to the original 2009 era, deliberately avoiding modern power inflation and fake progression systems to restore classic pacing and prestige. Its grand opening was on 30 January 2026, and it runs a fresh economy with an international playerbase, supporting 16 languages across PC and mobile on one shared account. The project describes itself as designed for a long-term, multi-year lifespan.

The server recreates the 2009 structure with the four original classes, the three original kingdoms and a level cap of 99.

Era: Classic 2009 Metin2
Max Level: 99
Classes: Warrior, Ninja, Sura, Shaman (original four only)
Grand Opening: 30 January 2026

Style: Hard classic, low rates. Item value comes from genuine rarity rather than drop spam; leveling, farming, and progression are designed to require real effort.

Three Kingdoms: Shinsoo, Chunjo, and Jinno with the four original classes (Warrior, Ninja, Sura, Shaman) to level 99.
Classic systems: Skill books, soul stones, biologist missions, and horse quests follow the original time-based mechanics, with biologist resets daily at 5:00 CET.
Cross-platform: Full PC and mobile play of the same world with one account for all platforms.
Demon Tower: The legendary Demon Tower returns as the sole dungeon, with daily entries that grow with level (1 at level 40, 2 at 55, 3 at 65, 4 at 75) and a reset at 5:00 CET.
Horse progression: The maximum horse level is 21, with 12, 18 and 21 hour cooldowns between progressive horse missions.
Shops: Offline shops run on expiration timers, while classic online shops carry no sales tax or time limit as long as the character stays online.

No forced meta: Every class is intended to be viable in both PvP and PvE, under a strict oldschool economy with no pay-to-win advantage.
