MasterMU is a MU Online server running Season 20, which is the version that introduced the Alchemist class and the Karmahadal endgame zone. That choice sets the shape of the server: rather than running an older season with custom content bolted on, it takes the newest Webzen content and runs it as shipped. The team positions the project as Play2Win, meaning the premium gear tiers are meant to be reachable through play rather than only through the cash shop, and it is built for sustained progression rather than the burn through and reset cycle that very high rate servers produce. Season 20 also reshuffles the PvP meta, because a ranged magic class landing in a game long balanced around Blade Knights, Soul Masters and Magic Gladiators changes what a siege roster looks like.
