ForsakenRO is one of the longest-running high-rate Ragnarok Online servers still operating, with a copyright line that runs from 2007 to the present day. It is a custom pre-Renewal server that pushed almost every vanilla ceiling upward. Base and job levels both cap at 255, stats go to 300, and attack speed and cast time are tuned so that endgame builds run into the mechanical limits of the client rather than into a stat wall. The design bet is that once levelling is effectively free, the interesting part of the game becomes gear chasing and open player killing, so progression is routed through legendary gear quest lines and a vote reward system instead of through experience tables. The server is flagged PK, which means open world player killing is part of the default ruleset rather than confined to arenas. Scheduling is built around three regions, with separate War of Emperium, guild-versus-guild and event times for American, European and Asian-Pacific players.

Regional siege scheduling: War of Emperium, guild-versus-guild and Battlegrounds run on separate American, European and Asian-Pacific timetables, so each region gets a siege in its own prime time.
Vote rewards: Voting for the server on toplists returns in-game rewards, which the team presents as the non-donation route to top-tier gear.
Legendary gear questlines: Endgame equipment is gated behind long quest chains rather than left to raw drop luck.
Custom maps: Server-built maps including Forsaken City replace the standard hub towns.
Raids and epic quests: Custom raid content and multi-stage quest lines fill the space left by trivialised levelling.
Player tools: The site hosts its own item database and build planner, so theorycrafting happens outside the client.
