Maroll Kingdom is a pre-renewal Ragnarok Online server running Episode 13.2 on low rates, operated as a non profit project the staff describe as created by fans for fans. It is a classic single client server, which means no boxing: a party is other people rather than three of your own windows stacked on one monitor. Around that classic core the staff have layered a set of quality of life changes aimed at cutting the busywork out of a low rate grind without cutting the grind itself. Progression rewards are handed out at every stage of the game rather than saved for the end, and quests are built around exploration on purpose, so players find content in game instead of reading it off a wiki first.
