Tagline: Together, we make it happen

Server Overview

Midgard Tales is a free high-rate Ragnarok Online private server running the Renewal engine, and it has been operating since 2022. It tracks official kRO content closely and is currently on Chapter 2 of the World Tree storyline, Song of World Tree: Fragments of the End, with the fourth job tier in place. The rate design sits deliberately in the middle of the high-rate band: 200x experience removes the leveling wall without collapsing the whole game into a login screen, while a 20x item rate keeps hunting worth doing. New characters are not dropped into that cold, because a Training Camp exists to carry an account up to the point where the current content actually begins.

Features

Training Camp: New players can use the Training Camp to reach the level band where current content starts and receive starter equipment, rather than grinding the early game from scratch.

Fourth Job Classes: The fourth job tier is implemented, so builds that only exist in modern kRO are playable here.

War of Emperium: Weekly guild-versus-guild castle sieges run on a fixed schedule.

Battlegrounds: Structured team PvP modes run alongside WoE for players who want organised fights without a guild.

Zeny to Cash Exchange: Premium currency can be bought with in-game zeny, which keeps shop items reachable without spending money.

Costume Headgears: A large cosmetic headgear catalogue is maintained and extended with monthly additions.

Auto Play: Daily limited auto-play sessions run at reduced rates, letting an account make progress passively without unattended botting.

Gepard Client Protection: The client runs Gepard Shield against bots and third-party tools.

Regular Patch Notes: The team publishes dated update notes, most recently in August 2026.
