GeekServers has been running since 17 June 2009, which makes it older than most of the private servers it competes with and older than several official expansions. It runs two live realms and has a third announced. NostalGeek is Vanilla 1.12 and has been up since the beginning; TheGeekCrusade is TBC 2.4.3 and has run since 31 July 2011. The project is built around a tight-knit French community while staying open to EU players, and the two rules that shape everything else are no pay-to-win and no wipes. It holds a 24 hour peak of 707 online across a Discord of 3,129 members.

No Pay-to-Win: Stated as a project rule across every realm rather than a per-realm setting.
Battleground Ladder: A competitive ladder that gates R12 to R14 gear behind ranking rather than selling it.
Hardmode Raids: Raid encounters with exclusive mechanics and strategies, not just tuned-up health pools.
BG Matchmaking and Crossrealm PvP: Matchmaking by ratio, with crossrealm queues between NostalGeek and GlobalGeek.
Arenas: Arena play available on a Vanilla-era codebase, which is not stock behaviour.
Achievements and Titles: An achievement system backported to realms that never shipped with one.
Dual Spec and Chronoboon: Two quality-of-life systems from later expansions added without touching combat balance.
