How to Pick the Right Server
Choose the FFXI ruleset before comparing community size. A level-75 cap alone does not tell you which expansions, jobs or quality-of-life changes are available.
| Example | Operator's published design | What to check next |
|---|---|---|
| HorizonXI | Level 75; progression through Treasures of Aht Urhgan; Era+ adjustments | Current expansion progression and job changes |
| CatsEyeXI | Level 75; ACE, Crystal Warrior and Wings-Era Warrior modes | Pick a mode first; Wings-Era Warrior is described as having no trusts |
Before creating a character, check trusts, dualboxing/multiboxing, level sync, EXP rates and travel rules on that server's current rules page. For group play, check linkshell recruitment in your time zone. Discord users online do not establish how many players are in Vana'diel. These examples compare designs, not a universal winner.
