Moonwell is a Burning Crusade private server that has been running since 2011, built on patch 2.4.3 and tuned around x100 experience so that a fresh character reaches raid content in hours rather than weeks. Its defining addition is a set of 12 custom legendary weapons, one for each class, filling a gap that The Burning Crusade itself never addressed. Raid content has been rebuilt around smaller groups: the 25-player instances are adapted so that 10 to 15 people can clear them, and heroic 5-man dungeons are scaled so a single player can gear up alone. Around that sits a modern convenience layer, with cross-faction grouping and guilds, free dual spec, no attunement requirements, transmogrification, and a teleport NPC that drops you at dungeon and raid entrances for free.

12 Custom Legendary Weapons: Every class has a legendary weapon that does not exist in retail Burning Crusade, built to sit inside the expansion's own item design.
Adapted Raids: The 25-player raids run in Normal mode for up to 10 players and in Challenge mode for up to 15, where the bosses hit harder and the loot is better.
Solo Heroic Dungeons: Heroic 5-man dungeons are scaled so one player can clear them and gear up without organizing a group.
Solo Rated Arena: A 3v3 rated ladder you queue for alone, with arena points paid out after every match instead of once a week.
Cross-Faction Play: Alliance and Horde characters can group, guild, and raid together.
No Attunements: Raid attunement chains are removed, so entry depends on your gear rather than on a quest backlog.
Free Dual Spec: Dual specialization is granted to every character at no cost.
Unlimited Primary Professions: The two-profession cap is lifted, and reagent vendors sell crafting materials directly.
Starter Gear for Gold: Rare starting equipment is buyable with gold, so a new character is not stuck in greens.
Moon Coins: A server currency spent on unique mounts and cosmetic items.
