VanillaPlus is the first and only true Vanilla+ server, built on the 1.12.1 client and dedicated to recreating the true spirit of 2004–2006 Vanilla WoW while adding carefully chosen enhancements. The team enhances the game without destroying what made Vanilla special — quality-of-life improvements, rebalanced classes, new viable talent builds, unique custom raids, bosses, and battlegrounds, all while keeping the traditional blizzlike feel intact. The community is genuinely engaged, with around 1,700 concurrent players and a tight-knit Discord of 10,000+ members.

Custom Talent Trees: Classes have been re-balanced to allow players to re-think usual specs and enjoy new unusual builds. Joke specs like Balance Druids are now viable. Notable changes include Insect Swarm as baseline for Druids, Divine Strength also increasing health for Paladins, Meditation no longer requiring Concentration for Priests, Warriors having Charge and Intercept apply their stun instantly, and Rogues seeing Cold Blood return to a 3-minute cooldown.

Azshara Crater — Custom Battleground: A Vanilla+ made MOBA-styled battleground where both factions fight across the map with side objectives and quests. Reputation vendors and Honor rewards are available, and players earn one mark per hour just for queueing, usable to buy flasks.

New Raid Bosses & Items: Custom bosses drop new items in the level 55–58 range, giving players fresh PvE goals outside the normal raid tier. Existing boss encounters have also been re-tuned (Ramstein damage reduced, Baron Rivendare RNG reduced, Baron's Ultimatum prolonged).

Buffed Dungeons: Dungeons are made more interesting and dangerous, rewarding organized groups and exploration.

Battlegrounds use the .warsong, .arathi, and .alterac commands to queue. Minimum player requirements were reduced to 3/5 to help pops fire on lower-population hours, and losing factions receive honor rewards if matches run longer than 10 minutes. Honor decay was lowered to 10% (from 20%) to protect active PvPers.

Players can lock XP gains at any level with .experience on/off, enabling full twink bracket play — rare on most Vanilla realms.

New storylines have been added including "Ulda-What Now?" and "Shadowforge Secrets," giving veterans fresh content inside familiar zones. Quality-of-life tweaks include Cenarion Badges stacking to 100 and Abyssal Shard cooldown reduced to 15 minutes.

P2W Level: None. The server is supported exclusively through optional Patreon donations — no cash shop, no boosts, no gear for sale.
