City of Heroes is NCsoft's classic superhero MMORPG, where players build a hero or villain from the ground up using its legendary costume creator and play through Paragon City and the Rogue Isles. Rebirth launched in 2019 out of the original City of Heroes Discord, building on the Issue 24 beta the studio never got to ship. Unlike servers that aim purely to freeze the game in time, Rebirth actively develops new content while keeping the classic feel intact. It is one of the larger and longer-running City of Heroes communities, with a Discord of roughly 14,000 members.

Guardian archetype: An entirely new archetype coded by the Rebirth team, pairing Assault powersets with a Composition secondary.
New powersets: Custom additions such as Ninja Assault, Infiltrator Training, and Water Assault for Guardians and Dominators.
Martial Prowess epic set: A new epic power pool introduced with Rebirth Issue 1: Guardians Rising.
Costume creator: The full City of Heroes costume editor, plus new costume packs added in updates.
Incarnate endgame: Classic Incarnate trials and slots preserved for high-level progression.
Architect Entertainment: The player-driven mission creator remains available.
Base building: Supergroup base construction is intact for community projects.
Active development: A steady cadence of Issues adding archetypes, powersets, and rewards.
