Back2Basics is a German community-run World of Warcraft server built on the 2.4.3 client, the final patch of The Burning Crusade. The project describes itself as Blizzlike gaming on a PvE realm, so the world, quests and encounters follow the behaviour of that era rather than custom content. New characters do not start from level one, because the server hands you a level 58 character so you can step straight into the Outland content. The team advertises fast support and bugfixes, friendly GMs and a lagfree environment.

Back2Basics runs the 2.4.3 client and keeps its ruleset close to the original Burning Crusade experience, with a doubled experience curve as the only major concession to modern play time.
