Transcend-WoW is a Wrath of the Lich King private server built as a custom fun realm rather than a blizzlike one. Its realm, Daggerspine, raises the level cap to 255 and hands out gear and abilities far past anything the original expansion shipped, which changes the shape of the game entirely: characters reach their power fast, and the content is balanced around that power instead of around the retail progression curve. The team writes its own spells and epic items rather than porting them in, and extends character creation with custom classes and races that the 3.3.5a client does not ship with. Progression is measured in play-time rewards and VIP ranks, and the calendar of daily and weekly events, seasonal PvE and PvP challenges, and world boss hunts is what keeps the realm busy between them.
