Server Overview

UO Realms is a community that happens to run Ultima Online rather than a single shard with a Discord attached. The group hosts two distinct Ultima Online worlds aimed at audiences that usually do not share a server, alongside classic gaming nights and community events outside the game entirely. Paths of Virtue is a fully custom Pre-AOS roleplay shard whose class system is drawn from the Virtue professions of the original single-player Ultima games, which is an unusual thing to build and a harder thing to maintain. Faerham Citadel is the opposite end: a Time of Legends era world with the standard skill-based system and the full race roster. The team runs the whole thing as a hobby project with an explicit non-toxic community policy and no monetisation.

Era & Ruleset

Paths of Virtue: Pre-AOS, fully custom roleplay shard with a Virtue-based class system
Faerham Citadel: Time of Legends era, standard skill system, Human, Elf and Gargoyle races

Rates

Paths of Virtue Skill Cap: 800 total, 100 per skill, raised to 110 for one chosen guiding Virtue skill
Faerham Citadel Skill Cap: Standard Time of Legends caps

Features

Two shards, one community: The group runs a roleplay shard and a modern-era shard side by side rather than forcing one audience out.
Virtue class system: Paths of Virtue builds its classes on the Virtue professions of the original single-player Ultima games.
Full race roster on Faerham Citadel: Human, Elf and Gargoyle are all selectable on the Time of Legends shard.
Live events: In-game roleplay events, Event Moderator hosted quests and live DJ entertainment run regularly.
Non-toxic policy: The team enforces an explicit community conduct policy rather than leaving moderation implicit.
Cross-game community: The group also runs Dungeons and Dragons sessions, BBS classics and multiplayer gaming nights outside Ultima Online.
Free and hobby-funded: Both shards are free with no pay-to-win, funded as a hobby project.
